Vision:
The vision of the “ Duke International Center for Women’s Reproductive Health” is to improve women’s reproductive health care in communities throughout the world.
Mission:
Duke International Center for Women’s Reproductive Health” plans to fulfill its vision by
- …supporting the efforts of local communities to initiate and sustain culturally relevant programs that are designed to address reproductive health problems.
- …helping these communities evaluate the success of efforts that are supported by the Center by collecting and analyzing relevant endpoints.
- …working with international, national, and local partners to convert successful local community programs into sustainable health care/health service models.
- …providing educational opportunities for learners to participate in the efforts of the Center.
- …increasing public awareness of the health disparities relating to reproductive health issues.
- …creating a forum for an ongoing ethical critique of the methods of interaction and support provided by the Center.

- CO-PI on $50,000 grant from the Packard Foundation (applied for through IntrahHealth International) looking at the sociocultural and religious factors that influence Obstetric Fistula in Nigeria
