Molecular Biology Workshops / Scientific Training for Medical Profesionals

  

Learning through hands-on experience

This course is designed for individuals with little (or no) practical experience in molecular biology techniques.  Topics to be covered include:  DNA and RNA isolation and quantification, Western Blotting, Real Time  and conventional PCR, Nucleic Acid Probes, Subcloning into Plasmid Vectors, genotyping, Protein Expression, and individual assay development. 
 
Workshop Objective: To introduce individuals to basic molecular biology techniques and provide sufficient information that will allow the student to design and troubleshoot individual assays.

   Wednesday, June 10th @ 8:30 a.m.
 
Ends:
     Friday, June 19th,  after the final
     experiment has been completed

WORKSHOP FEES:
Tuition is $1,900.  This includes all materials needed for the class.  A deposit of $200 is required at the time of registration.  Payment and enrollment deadline is March 14, 2009 Early registration recommended.
