Headshot of Julia Salinaro
Start Year:
2019

Why did you choose Duke for your residency training?

Duke provides exceptional training in an environment that is uniquely challenging, exciting, supportive, and fun! As a medical student at Duke, I remember being impressed and inspired by how talented, intelligent, compassionate, and dedicated the Ob/Gyn residents were. And in the midst of all of that, they took the time to teach me and support me as I developed my interest in the field. I chose Duke so that I could continue this legacy and get the best possible training all while having an awesome time. Also, Durham is a hidden gem and I love living here!

What excites you about the residency program at Duke OB/GYN?

Everything! But mostly getting to work with such dynamic, fun people who all share a similar desire to help women.

What are your career goals?

As of right now, I am hoping to work in an academic enviornment where I can incorporate teaching and research into my clinical career.

What are your hobbies?

Boxing, anything outside (running, hiking, picnics), watching TV, listening to podcasts.
