Friederike Jayes, DVM, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Reproductive Sciences. Dr. Jayes’ research centers on uterine fibroids and strategies for treatment, in particular Engineering smart injectable drug delivery theranostics for uterine fibroids. She also works extensively on effective mentoring. In July 2019, Dr. Jayes received funding as Duke’s Principal Investigator for a five-year NIH consortium grant titled “The Science of Mentoring, Networking and Navigating Career Transition Points.” The grant was received through the National Research Mentoring Network.
