Patients scheduled for a gynecologic surgical procedure may have the opportunity to enroll in our new digital health platform, Duke Ob/Gyn Care Coach. 

This innovative digital solution provides step-by-step instructions from the Duke Ob/Gyn surgical team to help our patients understand and prepare for their operative care journey. Once the procedure is performed, Duke Ob/Gyn Care Coach will continue to guide patients through their post-operative recovery.

With a patient’s consent, Duke Ob/Gyn Care Coach will send automated text messages from our team of providers directly to your mobile phone device to provide guidance every step of the way.

Once a patient and their provider have scheduled a procedure, the clinic’s surgical scheduler will confirm eligibility for enrollment.

Fees: This service is provided by Duke Ob/Gyn at no cost to the patient. However, text message and data rates may apply from your mobile phone service provider. 

Privacy and Security: The text messages sent via Duke Ob/Gyn Care Coach are secure; however, the security of messages on your mobile device depends on your device’s security. Do not share any identifying information. Text messaging can potentially involve security risks and could be intercepted or viewed by an unintended recipient because unencrypted SMS text messages may be stored on your device, or in your phone carrier’s system; they could also be intercepted on public Wi-Fi networks. 

Opt-Out: A patient may withdraw consent and unsubscribe by replying “STOP” at any time.
