We are extremely proud to share that two Duke Obstetrics & Gynecology alumni have been honored with Duke Medical Alumni Association Awards. Amy Murtha, MD; and Steven Scott, MD, are recipients of 2025 DMAA Awards.
Established in 1968, the awards were created to recognize those who make important contributions to the establishment and growth of the four-year medical school and to the world of medicine. The awards are designed to honor alumni and friends whose distinguished careers and unselfish contributions to society have added luster and prestige to Duke University and to the Duke University School of Medicine. A committee appointed by the dean of the Duke School of Medicine selects the recipients from nominations solicited from alumni and medical school faculty.
Dr. Murtha received a Distinguished Alumni Award. Dr. Scott received a Distinguished Service Award.
