Congratulations to urogynecologist Cindy Amundsen, MD, who was presented with an award recognizing her clinical excellence and contributions to the success of sacral neuromodulation as a treatment option for patients who experience bladder and bowel control issues. The award was presented to Dr. Amundsen, pictured with urogynecology colleagues and fellows, on Nov. 9 and recognizes Duke Urogynecology as an InterStimTM Center of Excellence. Dr. Amundsen pioneered one of the original sacral neuromodulation research studies and has had over 900 patient interactions related to this treatment option for incontinence issues.
