Duke Ob/Gyn Search Now Open for Chief of New Division of Women’s Community and Population Health

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University is seeking an outstanding individual to serve as Chief of the Division of Women’s Community and Population Health.  The Department has long tradition of providing world-class women’s health care and leveraging academic and community partnerships to provide the highest quality reproductive health care to women in our local communities and around the world. The newly created Division of Women’s Community and Population Health centralizes and provides an academic home for these efforts. The Division currently has 10 faculty who provide general ob/gyn and preventative care to women in hospital and outpatient settings in three local counties and the Women’s Veterans Comprehensive Health Center at the Durham VA Hospital. The Division is also the home to our family planning, cervical cancer prevention and global health programs. In partnership with the Duke Center for Global Reproductive Health, the Division boasts a number of long-standing clinical, educational and research partnerships in East Africa.  

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the mission and direction of this new Division by leveraging the existing strengths and identifying key areas for development.  S/he will be responsible for overseeing the Division’s clinical and education programs, growing the research program, and collaborating with the local community and other Duke entities including the Center for Population Health Improvement, Department of Community and Family Medicine and the Department of Population Health to improve population health and health care delivery for women. Qualified candidates will possess board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a current academic rank of either Professor or Associate Professor. A Masters in Population Health or equivalent degree along with a strong background in population health research and/or implementation science is desired.
