Geeta Swamy, MD, has been accepted as a Fellow in the 2019-2020, 25th anniversary class of the Drexel University College of Medicine Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) Program for Women. The prestigious women's health and leadership program is a year-long part-time fellowship for women faculty in schools of medicine, dentistry, public health and pharmacy. ELAM is dedicated to developing the professional and personal skills required to lead and manage in today's complex health care environment, with special attention to the unique challenges facing women in leadership positions. More than 1,000 ELAM alumnae hold leadership positions in institutions around the world, according to the Drexel University College of Medicine website.
Dr. Swamy recently was accepted as an Active Fellow of the American Gynecological and Obstetrical Society (AGOS).
