Congratulations to Beverly Gray, MD, who has been appointed to ABOG as a general Ob/Gyn board examiner.
Brittany Davidson, MD, and Fellow Catie Watson, MD, have obtained support through the PDC Outcomes Research Team (PORT) for their predictive modeling project for ED/unanticipated admissions for ovarian cancer patients. The PORT initiative seeks to provide Duke clinicians with reporting tools to enhance their productivity in data collection and analysis. PORT will support the project for a three-month period starting in October 2018.
Maria Small, MD, was selected Chair-elect for the Ob/Gyn Section of the National Medical Association during the NMA Convention and Scientific Assembly in Orlando, which was held Aug. 11-15.
"It will be an honor to serve and represent Duke together with our Department in this capacity on a national platform," stated Dr. Small.
Resident Ja'Pel Sumpter, MD, MPH, (PGY-4) won second place for her research presentation at the NMA Convention and Scientific Assembly.
