Residency Program

Start Year:

2022

Why did you choose Duke for your residency training?

Duke has an amazing sense of community and family that immediately made me feel like I would belong and thrive here. On top of that, Duke has everything I was looking for in a residency program: high volume, high acuity, amazing mentorship, strong subspecialty training, and an emphasis on resident research.

What excites you about the residency program at Duke Ob/Gyn?

I am most excited to work with and learn from the amazing talent at Duke — the world-class faculty who are dedicated leaders in their fields and also my incredible and passionate co-residents. I know that these are the people who help me grow and reach my fullest potential as a clinician, researcher, and human.

What are your career goals?

Most importantly, I hope to become a trustworthy, compassionate, and culturally competent provider and advocate for my patients. I am strongly considering fellowship, particularly in gynecologic oncology and hope to pursue a future career in academic medicine to further cultivate my interests in research and teaching.

Describe your research interests/goals:

Cancer genetics informing targeted therapeutics for gynecologic malignancies; immune microenvironment in gynecologic tumors; sexual and menopausal symptoms of gynecologic cancer survivors

What are your hobbies?

All things music! I play violin, piano, and guitar. I also love board games, baking, trying new restaurants, and binging TV.
