Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery

Why did you choose Duke for your fellowship training?

The Duke URPS division stands out among its peers for its size and surgical volume. For fellowship, I prioritized programs that would provide a rich surgical education so that I can leave training an experienced and confident reconstructive pelvic surgeon. The faculty practice the range of surgical modalities in the field in addition to their areas of focused interest, e.g., the surgical management of congenital GU disorders.

What excites you about the fellowship program at Duke Obstetrics & Gynecology?

I look forward to diving into the field alongside the storied subspecialists at Duke while contributing to the educational mission of the department. I am especially excited to further train in robotic surgery.

What are your career goals?

I plan to practice with a community focus while still having an affiliation with an academic institution so that I can contribute to medical education.

What are your hobbies?

Travel, video games, cooking.

Research Interests

I am interested in the application of clinical informatics to enhance the patient experience and improve outcomes, especially peri-operatively. I also am interested in the application of new technologies to medical education, e.g., generative artificial intelligence, virtual reality simulations, etc.
