"Research to Knowledge: Promoting the Training of Physician-Scientists in the Biology of Pregnancy" details challenges faced by MFM, necessary new initiatives to attract current scholars/future generations of researchers seeking expertise in the scientific method, and initiatives to support them. Mentorship and guidance, and the pursuit of a career that combines scientific investigation with clinical medicine, are the goals.
