Sarah Dotters-Katz, MD, MMHPE; Amy MacDonald, CNM; resident Stephanie Lim, MD; and medical students Alice Darling and Onyinye Ohamadike recently were awarded a Bass Connections grant of $22,500 for their project "Establishing an Inpatient Centering Model at Duke." The grant will enable an interdisciplinary team of physicians, midwives, nurses and trainees to help grow centering and research the effects of centering in inpatient pregnancy.
The pilot study that the grant is based on, "Pregnancy latency among patients with PPROM attending inpatient Centering groups," will be presented by Amy as a poster at the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) 41st Annual Pregnancy Meeting in a session on January 29, 2021.
