Duke Ob/Gyn Receives Funding for Research, Improved Outcomes

Dr. Nazema Siddiqui has been awarded a grant in the amount of $47,297. This additional funding will help Dr. Siddiqui to continue with her research efforts and goals of her recently awarded K23 project titled Epigenomics in Insulin Resistance Associated Overactive Bladder. The project was awarded $567,108 over 3 years.

Dr. Jennifer Gilner has been approved to receive a second year of funding for continuation of her research titled The Role of Regulatory T-cells in the Maternal-Fetal Rejection Phenotype of Preterm Birth.

Dr. Anthony Visco,Vice-Chair for Gynecology, has been awarded a Safety Grant Proposal presented by Durham Casualty, announced at the recent Joint Liability Steering Committee. The funding amount approved for year 1 is $320,000. The funding amount of $230,000 was tentatively approved for year 2. The goal of the program is improvement of care and outcomes for Duke Health patients and team members.
