Duke Ob/Gyn Welcomes Kelli Kurtovic, Manager of Quality and Safety

Duke Ob/Gyn has welcomed Kelli Kurtovic, Manager of Quality and Safety, to the Department. Kelli is a highly experienced quality improvement manager who for the last 3 years has served as Team Lead and Project Manager in Duke Hospital’s Care Redesign Team. She received her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Ohio State and her Master's in Engineering Management from Drexel University, and she is a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt. She has a long background of quality improvement both within and outside of healthcare, including serving as Quality Improvement Manager at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and various project management and quality improvement positions at Pfizer, Rolls-Royce, and Abbott Laboratories. She brings with her a skillset and depth of experience that will undoubtedly take the Department to the next level in quality, safety, and efficiency. Besides getting up to speed with the work the Quality and Safety Committee is already doing, one of Kelli’s early tasks is to educate the Committee and then the Department about quality improvement processes and tools that will help Duke Ob/Gyn achieve its goal of excellence.
