Allison Puechl, MD and Luke Gatta, MD were each selected to receive one of the 2017 Practice Course Professionalism Awards. Second year medical students in the Practice Course select faculty and house staff who demonstrate exceptional professional behavior in the clinical setting. This year there were 118 attendings and 126 residents nominated.
The Practice Course teaches professionalism, and the goal of the course is to develop physicians who will treat patients with respect. We appreciate your professionalism not only in the care of your patients but also in serving as a role model for future physicians at Duke.
