Friederike Jayes, DVM, PhD, and Darlene K. Taylor, PhD (Adjunct Faculty) have been awarded a $25,000 (respectively) Duke-NCCU collaborative award for 2019. The research award will advance studies to deliver drugs via LiquoGel™ to potentially soften and treat uterine fibroid tumors. The targeted technology could transform uterine fibroid therapy for the seven in ten women and eight in ten black women silently suffering from this disease.
