Weidner Promoted to Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology

We are pleased to announce that Alison Weidner, MD has been promoted to Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology from Associate Professor.  Dr. Weidner is also Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs for the Department. 

She is an active clinician researcher treating women with various forms of pelvic floor dysfunction.  In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Weidner enjoys and excels at clinical and surgical training of Iearners at all levels in the medical setting.  

Early in her career she designed and executed innovative clinical research with broad-reaching impact on our knowledge of the mechanism of neuromuscular injury to the pelvic floor and its ultimate contribution to pelvic floor dysfunction.  Currently, her clinical research efforts are dedicated to designing and implementing innovative studies with other investigators within the NICHD-funded Pelvic Floor Disorders Network with direct influence on clinical management of common pelvic disorders.
