Latoya Patterson, MD recently joined Duke Women's Health Associates following the completion of Duke OBGYN residency program.
Patterson is Tarheel born, Tarheel bred. She was born in Eastern North Carolina, but grew up in Knightdale, just east of Raleigh. Growing up, she always wanted to deliver babies, now being in the field of obstetrics and gynecology; she is able to do just that and much more.
She enjoys getting to know her patients and taking care of them their whole life from adolescence, to needing contraception, to being pregnant, to needing a hysterectomy, or transitioning into menopause.
Beyond taking care of patients, her special interests include family planning, laparoscopic surgery, health care disparities, and resident education.
Outside of work, you can find her spending time with family and friends, most importantly her husband, two daughters, and dog.
