Why did you choose Duke for your residency training?

My interview was on 11/11 (good luck!) and after learning all about the program and interacting with the exceptional leadership, I knew that Duke was #1 in my heart. The emphasis on training the next generation of ob/gyn leaders, outstanding compassionate clinicians and kind consultants, experts in research, advocates for women's health and supportive/collaborative learning environment that prioritizes wellness and happiness — all of these aspects resonated deeply with me. I could feel in my core that Duke would be the perfect fit for me. I am endlessly grateful to the program leadership for believing in that vision as well.

What excites you about the residency program at Duke Ob/Gyn?

I am most excited about getting to know and grow alongside my inspiring co-residents while simultaneously being trained/mentored by the incredible program leadership here at Duke. It is the greatest privilege of my life to be at a top 10 ob/gyn residency program. I'm absolutely ecstatic to be joining the Duke community!

What are your career goals?

Whether I choose to remain a generalist or pursue a fellowship (still undecided — either in gynecologic oncology or a non-ACGME-accredited one), I envision myself thriving in an academic setting. I aim to incorporate medical education, research, mentorship and global health into my career. Ultimately, I aspire to contribute to residency program leadership as a PD or APD. Outside of medicine, I hope to publish a book and explore opportunities in public speaking.

Describe your research interests/goals:

I have enjoyed being involved in research projects throughout medical school and am highly interested in making research a significant part of my career. Currently most passionate about: humanism in medicine, quality improvement of compassionate care, impact of social determinants of health and barriers on clinical outcomes, perinatal mental health, labor/pregnancy complications, factors influencing fertility and gynecologic oncology.

What are your hobbies?

Weightlifting, homemade latte/cappuccino art and recipes (my Nespresso machine brings me great joy), documenting my journey and connecting with others through my med page, writing, any nature-related activities and spending time intentionally with my people!
