Why did you choose Duke for your residency training?
I was drawn to the kindness and the strong sense of community I felt on my interview day. Duke also stood out as a place that strongly aligned with my values. I was attracted to the program’s commitment to providing excellent and compassionate care that centers both the patients and the community. I knew I would be exceptionally well trained here and be supported in growing into the best person, advocate and educator I can be.
What excites you about the residency program at Duke Ob/Gyn?
I am excited to join Duke and be part of this phenomenal and inspiring community of dedicated and passionate physicians. I have the deepest admiration for my class and the residency as a whole. I cannot wait to grow and learn from and with everyone. I also very much look forward to serving the Durham community.
What are your career goals?
I am interested in a career in academic medicine and hope to pursue a fellowship, although I'm not committed to one just yet. There are many areas of ob/gyn that interest me, and I am excited to explore different career paths over the next four years. Regardless of what my scope of practice ends up looking like, I plan on focusing my career on working with underserved communities.
Describe your research interests/goals:
Medical education, surgical equity, access to care, health disparities, sexual and gender-based violence, war and displacement
What are your hobbies?
Exploring coffee shops and farmers’ markets, board games, hiking, spending quality time with family and friends
