Residency Program

Start Year:

2025

Why did you choose Duke for your residency training?

I knew from the first week of my away rotation that Duke was where I wanted to be for the next four years of my training. I was blown away by the kindness, genuine interest in teaching and welcoming nature of every resident, attending and staff member I worked alongside. As I continued on other rotations in my fourth year, I caught myself comparing those experiences to Duke, and was so excited to see familiar faces again on my interview day.

What excites you about the residency program at Duke Ob/Gyn?

Duke is the perfect combination of wonderful people, incredible research opportunities, collaboration with other schools and programs at Duke and strong clinical training with exposure to diverse patients. I am so excited to meet my co-residents and see how much we grow over the next four years with support from fantastic seniors and faculty!

What are your career goals?

I will most likely end up as an academic generalist with a public/community health focus, though fellowship is not off the table yet! Ultimately, I want to work with trainees and help mentor future generations, while also integrating my interests in public health and advocacy on local, state and national levels to improve the state of reproductive and sexual health throughout the United States.

Describe your research interests/goals:

My research in medical school has focused on physician infertility/family building and wellness in medicine, gender equity, medical education and community health. I hope to one day add research on exercise and nutrition in pregnancy and postpartum to the list!

What are your hobbies?

Finding the best coffee shops and farmers markets wherever I go, running, baking vegan treats, maximizing my Kindle Unlimited subscription and training my Old English Sheepdog, Chief!
