Residency Program

Start Year:

2022

Why did you choose Duke for your residency training?

I had the privilege and pleasure of being mentored by several faculty and residents within the department as a medical student at Duke. The people here (from ancillary staff to attendings) are remarkable. I remember being inspired and motivated by the faculty’s deep investment in the success of each resident. As a first gen, I value mentorship significantly and knew I would receive tremendous career guidance and support at Duke. I also really love the RDU area and surrounding community! Durham has a rich history, vibrant community feel, and close proximity to beaches/mountains.

What excites you about the residency program at Duke Ob/Gyn?

The plethora of clinical / research / QI opportunities, learning from leaders within the field, and participating in the care of Durham's diverse patient population.

What are your career goals?

I currently love all things Ob/Gyn! No matter where I end up as an attending, my overarching goal is to lead my career with love, humanism, and academic curiosity.

Describe your research interests/goals:

My current research interests are broad, but include maternal-child health outcomes, family violence prevention, and medical education.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy listening to R&B music and live bands, resting, sun- and sound-bathing, yoga / meditation, brunching, hiking, and traveling with friends/family!
