Why did you choose Duke for your fellowship training?
I chose Duke for my Complex Family Planning training for its continued efforts to provide extraordinary abortion care to its patients, especially in a time where access to this care is becoming increasingly difficult. Because of the catchment area that Duke covers, the patients that I'm privileged to take care of here come from such a wide breadth of backgrounds and diversity that I don't think I'd be able to find anywhere else.
What excites you about the fellowship program at Duke Obstetrics & Gynecology?
I'm excited to have the opportunity to work alongside and collaborate with the faculty here. Everybody is so invested in the care they give and the patients they serve, but there's also the element of advocacy that is both acknowledged and supported.
What are your career goals?
As of now, I'd love to continue within academic medicine while still having the opportunity and ability to provide care at independent community clinics in more rural and underserved areas. I hope to keep working within the advocacy space as well.
What are your hobbies?
Painting my nails, finding new coffee shops, spending time with my friends
