Why did you choose Duke for your residency training?
I chose Duke because it is an institution committed to serving a diverse patient population, producing exceptional clinicians and fostering meaningful engagement with the surrounding community. I also wanted to train at the same institution as my soon-to-be husband and remain close to my family. Moreover, the mentorship I received from Duke's ob/gyn faculty as a medical student has been invaluable, and I look forward to continuing to strengthen those relationships throughout residency.
What excites you about the residency program at Duke Ob/Gyn?
I am excited to learn from incredible co-residents and esteemed faculty while training in an environment that will equip me with the confidence and skills to provide high-quality care upon graduation.
What are your career goals?
I am currently interested in being a generalist but am eager to explore all subspecialties to determine the best career for me.
Describe your research interests/goals:
My current research interests include perinatal mental health, the impact of doulas on postpartum outcomes, prenatal care for patients with a history of preterm birth and maternal medication administration during pregnancy.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy plant shopping and picking out cute pots, reading fantasy novels, spending time with family and friends, going to brunch and binge-watching great TV shows.
