Benjamin Harris, MD, MPH, Receives Golden Apple Award

Congratulations to Benjamin Harris, MD, MPH, 3rd year resident, for winning the 2018 Golden Apple Award on Saturday, March 10th. The Golden Apple Award is the highest teaching award presented by the Duke University School of Medicine student body to recognize outstanding dedication to medical student education. This is a truly outstanding achievement – only one resident award is given each year across all the residency programs. Last year, Charlotte Gamble, MD, MPH, won the Golden Apple Award, making this the second year in a row that a Duke Ob/Gyn resident has won this prestigious award. This is a proud testament to dedication Duke Ob/Gyn residents, faculty and advanced-practice providers have toward educating our medical students.

Dr. Harris was presented with this prestigious award during the annual Duke School of Medicine Student-Faculty show. This year’s show, titled Lube: The Musical (a parody of Grease), supported the Durham Crisis Response Center, and Duke Ob/Gyn was proud to be a Gold sponsor.
