Each year, fourth year medical students across the country view the third week of March as the start of their future. Match Day is a unified event organized by the National Resident Match Program. On March 18, medical students at Duke University School of Medicine opened their envelopes and learned where in the country they will begin their residency programs.
A total of 96 students participated in Match Day at Duke this year and are headed to some of the nation’s most prestigious programs.
23 are staying at Duke University
8 are going to John Hopkins University programs
7 are going to Harvard University
6 are going to University of California at San Francisco programs
6 are going to University of Texas Southwestern programs
6 are going to the York Presbyterian (Columbia/Cornell) programs
4 are going to University of Washington, Seattle Programs
3 are going to Stanford University Programs
