Liping Feng, MD, MS recently became a new faculty affiliate for Duke Global Health Institute (DGHI) and has been selected for Global Environment Health pilot funding at DGHI for her proposal "Maternal Exposure to e-waste in Guiyu, China and Birth Outcomes." This project aims to evaluate how low and middle-income countries (LMICs), are handing electronic waste (e-waste) and it's health effects related to environmental contamination for people working and living at or near informal e-waste processing sites such as Guiyu, China, especially to the most vulnerable populations, pregnant women and children.
