Two Duke AHEAD Learning Environment Grants were awarded to Duke OB-GYN faculty.
Chad Grotegut, MD received an award for his proposal "Implementation of a Multidisciplinary Obstetrics Simulation Curriculum to Improve Management of Obstetric Emergencies." The goal of the proposal is to develop an innovative, year-long multidisciplinary obstetric simulation curriculum that once complete, will then be formally incorporated into the obstetrics and gynecology and anesthesiology residency training programs as well as into the labor and delivery nursing education programs resulting in improved residency education experiences.
Elizabeth Livingston, MD received an award for her proposal "Can Participation in Dramatic Vignettes Improve the Clinical Learning Environment."
