WRAL Feature on Impact of NC Pregnancy Medical Home, Maternal-Infant Mortality

WRAL feature highlights Duke Perinatal and a Duke-government partnership that is making a difference in our community. Because of its success, the program is expanding.

“As a result of the high patient volume and positive impact (decrease in loss to follow up), a third pregnancy medical home care provider (now two RNs and one social worker) has been added to our DPD clinic. She will be the contact for all catchment county patients, as well as provide interface on the inpatient side — so exciting for our patients,” said Alice P. Cooper, RNC, OGNP, Medical Director, Duke Perinatal Clinic Durham.
