Emily knew after her first encounter with a midwife that she had found her career. She has practiced women's health care in the Triangle community for over 20 years. She has a keen interest in patient education, empowerment and advocacy. She meets folks where they are and helps them identify and achieve their health goals. She spent 10 years working in community birth at a free- standing birth center while also catching babies at a university medical center. She loves teaching students of all kinds respectful, trauma informed care for pregnant people. She lives in Hillsborough with her husband and sons. On her time off she is creating great meals and enjoying them with her friends.
