Clinical Research

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinical Research Unit is composed of a network of investigators and clinical research support staff that provides support to clinical research studies conducted within the department. The Ob/Gyn Office of Research provides pre- and post grant award management including assistance with grant budgets and post- award financial management.  The office also provides career guidance, grant writing skills, up to date information regarding federal and state regulations. Statistical and data management support for research endeavors is also available to assure a high quality research portfolio.

The department has an outstanding reputation in clinical research, focused in general Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility and Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. This research has led to changes in clinical practices and improvements to women’s reproductive health.

There are numerous clinical trials being conducted in the Department of Ob/Gyn, involving clinical research in epidemiology, genetics, immunology and pharmacology.
