Duke Urogynecology's extensive research and innovation showcased at PFD Week 2020
At the American Urogynecologic Society's (AUGS) Annual Pelvic Floor Disorders (PFD) Week Conference, advancements in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery were showcased. The PFD Network research team was recognized for Best Clinical Abstract for its work on the study "Subgroups of failure after surgery for pelvic organ prolapse and their association with outcomes: a longitudinal cluster analysis." Eric Jelovsek, MD, MMEd, MSDA, was lead author, and Matthew Barber, MD, MHS, was co-author.
Dr. Jelovsek received the Best Clinical Paper Award and gave several presentations, including the Inaugural AUGS Innovation Lecture, "Clinical Prediction Models Machine Learning and Decisions Making." He was selected as the 2020 AUGS Innovation Lectureship Award recipient.
