Congratulations to Melody Baldwin, MD, MPH, on her appointment as associate director of diversity, equity and inclusion for the department. She will work closely with Sarahn Wheeler, MD, who serves as vice chair. In addition to her clinical work at Harris & Smith Ob/Gyn, Dr. Baldwin currently serves as the assistant director of the Undergraduate Medical Education Program for the department. She is also a faculty facilitator for the Cultural Diversity and Health Disparities course for first-year and second-year medical students, and recently completed the Duke AHEAD Health Professions Certificate Program. She has served on the department’s DEI Committee, with a focus on its educational efforts.
