Residency Program

Start Year:

2024

Why did you choose Duke for your residency training?

I wanted a program that valued teamwork, diversity and friendship. Duke was the only program that emphasized these characteristics. After interview season, I remembered how I felt among Duke's faculty and residents. It was a very easy choice for me!

What excites you about the residency program at Duke Ob/Gyn?

Apart from getting to work with talented and passionate residents and faculty, I'm so excited to move to a new state and immerse in the diversity that Durham offers. Also, my brother lives in NC, so I'm excited to see him often and try out Bojangles.

What are your career goals?

Right now, I'm planning to be a generalist, but I am so open to learning as much as I can during my time here at Duke. If MFM or Family Planning rings my phone, I'm answering!

Describe your research interests/goals:

Most of my research stems from a background in neuroscience and pharmacology, but I am continuously fascinated by pain and gender differences. With my two brothers being in the Marines, I have increasing interest in women's military health and addressing their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.

What are your hobbies?

I own a plant shop on Etsy and run an online secondhand clothing store. I love to garden and go thrifting. If I'm with my partner, we're hiking and admiring nature at a national park
