
After a national search, Matthew D. Barber, MD, MHS, faculty in the Division of Urogynecology and Reproductive Pelvic Surgery, has been appointed to serve as president of the Duke Health Integrated Practice (DHIP) and vice dean for Clinical Affairs in the Duke University School of Medicine, effective immediately.
Dr. Barber has served as interim senior vice president of DHIP since July 1, 2024, and has brought a clear vision, passionate support and strategic alignment to the critical work done by departments, community practices, faculty and staff. During his time as DHIP’s interim leader, he has been instrumental in enhancing collaboration across Duke Health and building an infrastructure that supports the future growth of Duke Health.
