Duke Ob/Gyn is pleased to announce that MargEva Cole, MD, assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology, and medical director and division chief of Durham Obstetrics and Gynecology, has been selected to represent the department on the new Duke Health Integrated Practice (DHIP) Physician Advisory Council (PAC).
Dr. Cole is a member of the Durham County Hospital Corporation Board of Trustees, which is responsible for oversight of Duke Regional Hospital, and serves as medical director for the Davis Ambulatory Surgery Center (DASC) at Duke Regional Hospital. As an advocate for initiatives to promote and sustain provider wellness, Dr. Cole is committed to roles on wellness committees for the Department of Ob/Gyn and within the Duke University Health System. Dr. Cole earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, and she completed her residency at the University of Washington Medical Center and an associate fellowship in integrative medicine from the University of Arizona.
"I am honored to have been elected by my colleagues to serve in this role," said Dr. Cole. "I hope to not only actively participate in PAC meetings, but to bring issues faced by our clinical faculty to the forefront, and to advocate for Duke Ob/Gyn in order to ensure areas of concern are raised and addressed."
