Residency Program - PGY4

Program:

Residency Program

Start Year:

2020

Why did you choose Duke for your residency training?

Duke’s program made an impression on me right away! I was drawn to the program’s excellence, the supportive environment and the commitment to provide excellent patient care. The residents I encountered during the interview were intelligent and driven, while also being a lot of fun! As an aspiring physician-scientist, I was also attracted to the wealth of mentors doing practice-changing research at Duke.

What excites you about the Duke Ob/Gyn residency program?

I am excited to train alongside the compassionate and talented individuals in the residency program and to have the opportunity to be mentored by Duke’s incredible faculty. Most importantly, I look forward to serving the women of Durham while and empower my patients through health care.

What are your career goals?

First and foremost, I desire to provide compassionate, timely and evidence-based care to the women that I serve. As a physician-scientist, I aim to use my training in epidemiology to identify the unanswered questions in women’s health that matter most to patients and to design studies that address those questions in a way that informs care.

Describe your research interests:

My research interests include developing quantitative methods for modeling problems related to women’s health and pregnancy, modifiable determinants of adverse pregnancy outcomes and miscarriage.

What are your hobbies?

Spending time outdoors with my husband and daughter, gardening, rock-climbing, traveling and aerial silks.
