2025 Hammond Research Day
Friday, May 9, 2024, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Duke South Amphitheater
Hammond Research Day is a time to celebrate Duke Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology residents and fellows for their exceptional achievements. At this much-anticipated annual event, they present research representing the culmination of months of thoughtful inquiry, hard work and personal and professional growth.
This engaging day is the legacy of Dr. Hammond, an internationally recognized leader, educator, researcher and advocate for women’s health. As Chair and Residency Program Director for more than 20 years, he was committed to ensuring that residents and fellows developed into well-rounded academic obstetrician/gynecologists with outstanding clinical skills, a sharp scientific mind and a compassionate heart. Annually, we commemorate the impressive and tireless research efforts of trainees, and we honor Dr. Hammond.
We are grateful to the residents and fellows for their tireless contributions to research, education and patient care during their training. Many women and families have benefited from their experience and commitment to the highest quality patient care.
We are also grateful to their faculty mentors for their efforts and support to cultivate the next generation of leaders in women’s health.
We look forward to the significant contributions and unwavering dedication to improving women’s health that, as alumni of Duke Obstetrics and Gynecology, our residents and fellows will make in the years ahead as they pursue future endeavors.
